Burning of the Canes Festival 2021
WHAT TO EXPECT
This ritual celebrates the end of the grape harvest and the start of the new season’s bud-burst, with grapevine cuttings burnt in bonfires to symbolize rebirth.
Guests will receive a vine cutting, along with a blank card on arrival, with space to write a trouble they wish to leave behind and an aspiration that they have for the coming year. After dinner, guests then throw their cuttings and cards into the bonfire to farewell the old and welcome the new.
Guests will enjoy canapes and bubbles on arrival, followed by a 3 course meal with matching wines as well as taking home a small gift to commemorate the evening.
We will also be releasing two brand new wines on the night! Guests will be the first to taste and have the opportunity to purchase these wines on the night.

Time: 5pm – 10pm
Location: Hanging Tree Wines Estate- 294 O’Connors Rd, Pokolbin NSW 2320
